Although this composition was never used in any of Michael’s finished Roofwork series, elements of the study appear in the work Up on the Roof (1979). The work features in the book by Patrick Bade, Michael Leonard, Painter and Illustrator, 2021 (Peter Owen Publishers) at p.171
