Murfin has exhibited widely, both in the UK and internationally. His work is contained in many regional art galleries, as well as the Government Art Collection. This is part of an ongoing series of works by the artist, in which he examines and highlights the homo-eroticism of classical art. Here he has examined the Farnese Hercules, is an ancient statue of Hercules made in the early third century AD, rediscovered in Rome during the Renaissance, but now in the Museo Archeologico Nazionale, Naples.
